Pearl is highly valued as a Gemstone

Pearl is a hard, roundish object produced within the soft tissue of a living shelled. The finest quality natural pearls have been highly valued as gemstones and objects of beauty for many centuries, and because of this, the word pearl became a metaphor for something very rare, very fine, very admirable and very valuable. Pearls cultured in seawater have better luster and, usually, more consistent shape and smoother texture than freshwater pearls - however, sea pearls are much more expensive than freshwater pearls. Pearls are are categorized as Cultured and natural pearl.

Hi,

Pearls are less durable than most gems, they are sensitive to acids, dryness, and humidity. It is almost exclusively blistering pearls. Thanks a lot...
